making wild grape jelly
Winemaking requires special equipment to make homemade wine?

We have wild grapes growing in our fields and we are tired of gelatin, you can make wine without specialized equipment? I have a boat, canning jars and a pot (casserole minutes). I would love a recipe if anyone has one, too! Thanks in advance!

INCOME CONCORD Concord Grapes Grapes are the most commonly planted native American grapes. embraced the first settlers, their crops and used to make wine, jellies, jams and cakes. They were the first native strains of the cuttings were planted to form vineyards. A variety of grape Vitis labrusca Concord resistant to most diseases that destroy European grape, Vitis vinifera, which were the first in which Vinifera cuttings were grafted control of insects and diseases and the first to succeed with pollenated cons-European stock to produce hybrids. The most notable of these hybrids are the French-American, but transitions also made with the German, Spanish, Portuguese, lowlands, and the grapes of the Baltic Sea. Resistant strains that result and produce good yields. The Concord, however – including hybrids – rarely contain high amounts of natural sugar contained pure varieties of Vitis. They also contain pectin and acid, and its wines may be some unpleasant musky smell. For these reasons, the juice is always reinforced with added sugar, usually diluted with water to balance the acid-treated with pectic enzyme to ensure that permits, and may be flavored with some herbs or spices to counter the natural musk. We have included three recipes below. The first produces a dry wine, so you can sweeten a bit before bottling if you are not partial dry wine. The second is only slightly diluted and requires great quantity of grapes to produce more, but results in a wine-bodied wine, sweet dessert. The wine must be stabilized before bottling sweetening and final or with a commercial stabilizer (eg sorbitol) or a crushed Campden tablet and 1 / 2 teaspoon of potassium sorbate per liter. sweetening process is never done using two parts sugar dissolved in a little boiling water and let cool. This syrup must be clear, if all granules stir until sugar dissolves. The third recipe is a wine of "second" pulp made from grapes from the first batch of wine. Grape concentrate is added to provide body and vinous quality. If you want to add to his agent aromatic wine, one of the following works: almond anise, bitter, chamomile, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, juniper berries, whole nutmeg, fresh rosemary, saffron, sage, savory, thyme, Tonka bean, Woodruff, or vanilla bean. Do not use ground spices, but the leaves, seeds, or – in the case of cinnamon – bark. Place the quantity ( tablespoon per gallon for the most part, or two of nutmeg, vanilla and tonka bean beans) frozen in a fine mesh bag, tied and put it in the must during fermentation primary. Gently squeeze and discard. When adding sugar to increase the specific gravity (SG), a tablespoon of less than 8 oz increase in selling expenses Grass gallon 0.010. Wine grape varieties, the Secretary General must always start at least 1095 to achieve an alcohol content of 12.7%, while 12% is necessary to preserve the wine. However, this requires very little liquid is lost during the transfer that is an incorrect assumption. Therefore, it is wiser to start with a SG of 1.105, which under ideal circumstances to produce 14.1% alcohol volume. Because you will lose liquid when the discharge, the final figure will be closer 12.7%. Concord grape age of two years in bottle before being considered ready to drink. I always wonder how the wine improves with age novel. A wine that is terrible, after one year will be a year later delicious and wonderful in the third year. Therefore, the best for a plan to follow is to make a certain amount (3-5 gallons) per year, placing bottles on their side in a cool, dark cupboard, and you miss everything starting the third year of winemaking. Even in this case may you want to age more. Just remember one thing: it takes five 750 ml bottles of wine to store a gallon of wine, 25 bottles of storing 5 gallons. Concord Grape Wine (1) * * 6 pounds fresh Concord grapes 5 pts water 3-1/4 cups granulated sugar * * 1 / 2 c. Tea pectic enzyme 1 Campden tablet crushed * 1 teaspoon teaspoon grape yeast nutrient * wine yeast Wash and stem, discarding any less than perfect. Place in a nylon bag, tie securely and firmly crush the grape primary, taking care not to crush them all. Place the bag of dough in the primary and add water, sugar, nutrient and crushed Campden tablet. Stir well to dissolve sugar, cover securely with a clean cloth and set aside. After 12 hours add pectic enzyme and recover. After another 12 hours specific gravity. Except not at least 1095, add sugar and stir until dissolved, then add yeast. Stir every day, squeeze nylon bag for easy retrieval juice, and check the SG When SG reaches 1030 (5-6 days), slightly but steadily press juice from bag. [Set bag aside in a bowl for a second wine (see recipe below third).] liquor divert sediment airlock sterilized glass and secondary contact. Check SG after 30 days. If 1,000 or less, secondary and replace airlock rack clean. Rack again after 2 months and again after more than two months. Be clear, stabilize, sweeten if you like (half sugar syrup-3 / 4 cup per gallon), and is back in sterilized bottles. Let the age of two years in bottle before tasting. It also improves with age. [Adapted from recipe Raymond Massaccesi winemaker wine grape Manual] Concord (2) Expenditures * * 12 pounds Concord grapes * 2 pts water 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar * 1 c. pectic enzymes tea * 1 Campden tablet 1 teaspoon crushed teaspoon yeast nutrient * Wash and nutritional yeast in wine grapes from the mother, the rejection of the less perfect. Divide grapes in two nylon mesh bags, tie securely, and vigorously crush grapes over primary, being sure to crush them all. Place bags of pasta paper in primary and add sugar and dissolved in water, nutrients, and crushed Campden tablet. Cover tightly with a clean cloth and set aside. After 12 hours Add pectic enzyme and recover. After another 12 hours specific gravity. If this is not at least 1095, add sugar and stir until dissolved, then add yeast. Stir daily, squeezing the nylon bags to assist in the extraction of juice, and check the SG When SG reaches 1030 (6.5 days), slightly but steadily press juice from bag. [Packed in a separate bowl to make a second wine (see third recipe below).] Liquor sediment trap in a sterilized glass hatch and secondary contact. Check SG after 30 days. If 1,000 or lower, secondary locks rack clean and reconnect. Grill again after two months and again after more than two months. Be clear, stabilize, sweeten (syrup of 1-1/4 cups of sugar per liter), and the door again sterilized bottles. Let the age of two years in bottle before tasting. It also improves with aging. [Adapted from Raymond Massaccesi Winemaker Recipe Handbook] Concord grape wine (second fermentation) pulp from June to October * Concord grapes lbs * 1 gallon (less than one cup) * Water red grape juice 8-10 oz concentrate and Concord Grape * 2 pounds 2 tablespoons granulated sugar * blend of tea or juice of 1 lemon acid 2 thin slices and Winesap apples * 1 / 8 c. tea or a bag of tannin used * 1 / 2 c. teaspoon of yeast nutrient * strains from the wine as soon as possible after the mass withdrawal from the use above, you will use the yeast already present in the mass (mass not let dry). Mix all ingredients except the pasta in the primary, stir well to dissolve sugar, add pasta back into the nylon bag. SG may be lower than expected due to alcohol trapped in the dough. Cover and ferment, stirring and pressing catch all days to decrease the SG to 1.010. Siphon liquor into secondary education. Squeeze the bag well to extract all the juice possible. Add sas secondary juice and fit. Rack after 30 days, then every two months until wine is clear and no longer form the yeast after 10 days. Stabilize, sweeten if desired, and siphon bottles. The taste after two years. Recipe] [author
