2 cups stemmed concord grapes

6 cups of sugar

Sterilize jars, this will make about 6 half pints or 3 pints.

Skin the grapes, cook pulp until soft for 15-20 minutes in a small amount of water, about half a cup; add more water if necessary a little at a time.  Remove seeds from pulp by pressing through a sieve.  Place sugar and strained pulp into a pan and cook for approximately 10 minutes, until it reaches the jellying point.  Test to make sure by using a candy thermometer which should read at 220˚.  (Optional step:  Take skins of grapes process in blender or food processor and add to the pulp and sugar mixture to cook)
