Don’t worry you can get these covers even if you have a gas stove.  I say anyone who has gas cooking is lucky.  I now have a total electric home and wish I still had a gas cook stove.  With gas it seems to me you have better temperature control and with electric your heat sometimes builds up to a higher temperature the longer the burner is on.
